Direct Support services are goal-focused on addressing disruptive behaviors that negatively impact youth and families day to day living. Sessions take place in the youth's natural surroundings, such as their homes, schools, communities, and areas of family need. Youth will enhance their quality of life by learning how to confront and manage behavioral difficulties in a healthy manner that keeps them safe and successfully moving forward. As well as giving parents and/or guardians the tools they need to properly redirect youths behavior.
Mentors are individuals who make a difference in a youth's life by developing and strengthening their independent living skills, social etiquette, responsible decision making, and providing "real-life" exercises related to youth's needs. For instance, building confidence, self-esteem, appropriate positive peer interactions, developing leadership skills, GED/college preparation, job training, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities. Youth will gain new interests, and aspirations, to shape their future.
Family Support Partners specializes in educating parents and/or guardians on how to utilize community resources and navigate the healthcare and education system. For example, Special Education (IEP/504 Plan), Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Division of Developmental Disabilities, Department of Child Safety, Behavioral and Physical Health. Our FSP's empower, share knowledge, teach advocacy skills and connect caretakers to needed resources for the benefit of their families' overall social determinants of health.
